Why do we have joint issues?

Many people often suffer from joint issues of some kind, and the most common cause of this is from swelling. This happens when the body releases chemicals into the blood or affected tissues to help with the injury or infection. The chemicals can also leak fluid into the tissues or stimulate nerves. This can cause redness, swelling and stiffness in the joints. When there is a one-off injury or infection, this process is beneficial as it can help with protection and recovery. However, if it is just due to prolonged use and age, it can cause issues.

Whilst there are many chemical and drug-containing aids out there, there is also a wide range of natural ways to help with joint issues. One of the key techniques is by using plant-based foods that contain polyphenols. These are a large group of phytochemicals and can be found in a number of ingredients such as cloves, blackcurrants, pineapple and even dark chocolate and red wine. Polyphenols found in these types of foods are said to be beneficial for the body as they have been studied regarding their protective antioxidant effects that can be beneficial for the joints.

What is Skin-Patch Technology?

As a method developed as an alternative to traditional pills, transdermal skin delivery technology used in skin patches is a way for active ingredients to be delivered to the blood. Instead of ingesting the ingredients like with a capsule where they have to go through the stomach and, therefore, lose some of the potency, they are safely delivered across the skin and directly to the bloodstream. This can make skin patches a quicker form of delivery and in many patches can be tailored to give a constant amount of the ingredients over the period worn.

  • Pleasantly surprised by how good these were. They stick to the skin well but aren't itchy or annoying but they're still okay to peel off. I have started using these over tablets as I can't swallow them very well so these are perfect for me. I like them a lot and will continue buying. They are also a decent price.
