Skinny Tan is an Australian brand that has its roots in the UK. It began when two British mums and friends decide to join together to launch their own self-tanner brand. Kate Cotton and Louise Ferguson are ‘mompreneurs’ (entrepreneurial moms) with one objective: to create a self-tanner with natural results. They created their own natural tanning product which then launched in Australia.
In order to expand their brand, they took part in the British television show Dragon's Den. Their success on the show then launched the brand in Great Britain and then spread to becoming a worldwide brand, all the way from Australia to South Africa to the United States.
Positive feedback and great natural products have allowed the brand to develop as a whole and also develop their range of products. Self-tanning products are the basis of the brand but they have created complementary products that have been designed to assist the self-tanning products.
All of the products at Skinny Tan are made with natural ingredients, are not tested on animals and are suitable for vegetarians. For best results, we recommend using all three of these products together as they have been designed to perfectly compliment each other and help you to achieve the perfect tan.
Skinny Tan Pre-Tan Primer - This product helps to exfoliate and smooth the skin to give your tanner the best application possible.
Skinny Tan 24 Hour Bronzer - This bronzer help you achieve glowing and bronzed skin that is perfect for a big occasion.
Skinny Tan After Glow Gloss The After Glow Gloss helps to moisturise the skin and help your tan stay around for longer.
1. Start with an exfoliating treatment to help remove any dead skin.
2.Apply the tanner in two layers. The first layer is to be applied uniformly throughout the body. The second layer is for the parts of the body most affected by the sun, such as the shoulders and chest.
3.Take your time, do your whole body first and then finish with arms and hands. This will prevent you from accidentally rubbing your arm against your leg or removing the product from the arms and creating a stain effect.
Apply less products on the joints such as the elbows and knees as these are the parts of the body that mark easily.
Always wash your hands and nails at the end of the application to avoid staining.
Moisturise your body daily. Your tan will only last as long as you take care of it, so it means it will last longer if you keep your skin hydrated and moisturised.
