The Power of Natural Greenery
This colour rebounds across nature, seen in so much of what grows from the earth. It can be no surprise, therefore, that this shade has come to symbolise many different ideas. Life, renewal, nature, and energy are just a few - in Ancient Egypt, green was taken to mean regeneration, good health and rebirth. And those associations certainly carry into the plants themselves! The pigment responsible, Chlorophyll, generates plants’ energy by converting sunlight, by way of photosynthesis. Rich in Iron, which has multitudinous energising functions in our bodies, Chlorophyll works to nourish and purify. In algae, it’s known as one of the specific components to deal with toxins as well as supplying cells with absorbable phytonutrients.
